Barre & Dance: A Spring Workshop – 21 March 2026 - Meilen
Celebrate the first full day of spring with movement!

Age & Level: Designed for adults only and open to all levels
Marta and I will be co-facilitating a Barre and Dance workshop - alternating Barre and Dance exercises followed by a Modern Dance choreography.
During the workshop you will benefit from:
Barre
Core stability to enhance balance & leg power for strengthening muscles. Barre workouts incorporate elements of strength training, yoga, Pilates and ballet.
Dance
Floor-work to explore different levels of movements and foot-work to improve posture and equilibrium. “Across the floor” exercise involves drilling dance combos practicable for the choreography.
Choreography
Finally we will learn a Modern Dance choreography - focusing on artistic movements, musicality and the flow of dance.
Community & Tea
We will end the workshop with tea, to have a chat, wind down and connect.

Program
Cross-training on the agenda!
Participants learn how to dance and interpret the choreographies with music, and also
how to include different workouts creatively and upgrade their energy with mental exercises.
Creative activities
During the training the kids will explore various dancing styles, learn how to interpret music with lyrics and how to express their feelings and emotions.
Exercises & Games
Participants engage in different fun activities to warm up, cool down and energize through outdoor and indoor exercises (e.g. skipping rope, running, games, strength training)
Mindfulness
Valendance holistic approach emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and body-mind balance. During the camp week techniques such as Qigong, breathwork and happy writing
will be included.
